The announcement that the trans-Tasman bubble is set to open a dual quarantine-free corridor between Australia and New Zealand from 19 April has been a welcome one for Comms Connect NZ, the first planned Comms Connect live event in over a year and a half.
Joining the conference program as co-moderator, Chris Stevens will deliver a presentation on big data integration, a hot topic at Comms Connect Virtual in 2020.
Two more new additions to the program are as follows:
- Mike Smith, Chairman of the Wireless Internet Service Providers Association of NZ, will deliver a paper titled ‘Internet of Things — a role for wireless ISPs in rural IoT’;
- AREC Chairman Don Robertson will present a session titled ‘Supporting New Zealand’s SAR, Civil Defence and other emergency services through expert volunteers’.
Thanks to eased travel restrictions, the event is expected to attract a number of critical communication and public safety professionals from Australia to add to the already strong registration numbers from New Zealand.
